At Mars Petcare UK we focus on developing campaigns that enhance the unique relationships between pets and people, promote responsible pet ownership and preserve dog ownership.

We achieve this through sponsoring groups such as The Pets as Therapy Juniors and delivering campaigns that reinforce key responsible pet ownership messages that address common issues. By working in partnership with local authorities we guard against behaviour which could endanger pet ownership and encourage responsible behaviour that will benefit the lives of pets and communities.

Most recently Mars Petcare has been working together with Dog Wardens to provide dog owners with all the information they need to ensure owning a dog is a fantastic experience for both dog and owner. The result of this work is the newly written ‘Guide To Responsible Dog Ownership’. The booklet provides information covering a wide range of subjects ranging from your responsibilities, training, feeding and weight management to grooming, travelling with your dog and most importantly the updated information about your dog and the law.

The Mars Good Dog Campaign is a local authority environment programme, supported by the National Dog Warden Association, aimed at assisting Dog wardens develop Responsible Pet Ownership campaigns and activities within their communities. For over 10 years Mars Petcare has supported this National programme of events as well as providing awards for the most successful campaigns.
