Vegetarian Product Suitability and Labelling

In our commitment to provide our consumers with the best possible choice of chocolate products, we continue to make progress in getting our products to be suitable for vegetarians.

Most of our products are suitable and do feature the words 'Suitable for Vegetarians' on the back of packaging where nutritional information, including Guideline Daily Amounts and ingredients, is also listed. This labelling ensures that these products are in line with the FSA's guidance on vegetarian labelling.

Halal Product Suitability

Mars is strongly committed to providing our consumers with the greatest possible choice of chocolate products. We have been working with the Halal Food Authority to make sure that we get the right certification where possible for our products.

Kosher Product Suitability

Mars has partnered with the UK’s leading kosher certification board - the Kashrut Division of the London Beth Din (KLBD) - in order to produce products in accordance with kosher values and certification.

We are progressing kosher certification across our European factories and we will continue to review this on an ongoing basis.

Allergens

Our policy on allergen labelling is to be clear, within the ingredients list, where a product contains allergenic ingredients as part of the recipe or in trace amounts.
